How ATS Resume Scoring Works (Plain English)

ResumeATS scores a resume against a transparent set of local checks. It does not query employer ATS vendors or guarantee that a particular company will parse your file the same way.

What is counted

• Presence of name and usable email.
• Recognizable section structure.
• Action-oriented experience bullets and some quantification.
• Skills list density that looks intentional rather than empty.

What is not claimed

• No promise of interviews, offers, or “100% ATS pass.”
• No upload to a scoring cloud — checks run in your browser.

Try it

On the homepage, click Load sample resume. You should see a score near 100 for the sample. Change the email to an invalid value and watch the score drop.
